Come and join Kissing Booth author Beth Reekles as she hosts an Evening of Winter Romance with Rachel Rowlands, Jack Strange, and Lizzie-Huxley-Jones, in The Loft in Book-ish, Crickhowell.
With settings of cosy cat cafes, a winter bookshop in Hay-On-Wye, and a famous actor coming to town, our evening promises to put you in a festive mood. Sip mulled wine as the authors talk swoonworthy winter and Christmassy romance.
From 7:30pm, hear how our authors approached their Christmas books, from their writing process to what inspired their stories. Entry is £8, and books from all the authors will be available, with a signing at the end.
Beth Reekles is the author of the bestselling YA series The Kissing Booth (now a hit trilogy on Netflix) alongside several other rom-com novels. Her fourteenth book The Reunion was Waterstones Welsh Book of the Month in June 2024. A self-confessed nerd and rom-com fan, she is now a full-time author living in South Wales, and shares movie reviews on her Instagram.
Rachel Rowlands is a professional fiction editor and a fantasy/romance author. Her books include the Nethervale series of romantic fairy tales. She will be talking about her new novel, Snowed in at the Cat Café, releasing with Hodder and being translated into seven languages.
Book-ish’s own bookseller Jack Strange will be talking about his Christmas romantic comedy novel, Look Up, Handsome, which is set in Hay-On-Wye, described as the most heart-warming, romantic and laugh-out-loud romcom you need to read in 2024.
Lizzie Huxley-Jones is an author of fantasy adventure novels for children and swoony romance for adults, and occasional freelance editor / event chair / books dogsbody. Known for Hits Different and Make You Mine This Christmas, Lizzie is back with their new winter romance, Under the Mistletoe with You: the must-read cosy, romantic, festive romcom for Christmas 2024.
